With the qualifying session past us, we are in touching distance from the Singapore GP. However, before the exciting race, the drivers gave us plenty of insight into what’s to come. Exciting would also be the correct adjective to describe the qualifying session of Lewis Hamilton.

The Singapore qualifying session was a mixed bag for the Mercedes paddock, with Russell crashing out in Q2. However, Hamilton arguably made up for Russell’s result with some incredible laps. The man who has the second most wins at the Marina Bay Street Circuit after Sebastian Vettel might just level with the German by getting one victory tomorrow.

Showcasing how far they’ve come, the Mercedes man was on provisional pole on multiple occasions during the last qualifying session. Hamilton even improved his timing during the session with a massive 1.2 seconds. The incredible jump can be credited to the drying track. However, credit where credit is due and a lot of it goes to Hamilton’s ability behind the wheel to.

Although, the qualifying did not end as planned for Sir Hamilton as he managed P3 at the end. Although in terms of pace, Hamilton was off just one-tenth of a second from pole sitter Charles Leclerc, the minuscule gap from the leader is an exciting prospect for the team and Hamilton for the upcoming race.

Mercedes and Hamilton will surely go into the race brimming with confidence after the qualifying session. The Briton is yet to register his first win of the season, maybe Singapore GP will change that.

The scintillating qualifying performance is bringing newfound hope to the Mercedes paddock. However, this is not just for the Mercedes paddock, but also for the Hamilton fans.

The fans are celebrating Hamilton’s performance and rightly so. The race at the Marina Bay Street Circuit should hopefully add to the celebrations.

The Singapore GP race cannot come sooner with the fans waiting to watch Sir Lewis Hamilton light up the Marina Bay Street Circuit with a similar, if not better, performance.
