Lewis Hamilton was so mesmerized by the original Top Gun that he wanted to become a fighter pilot after watching the movie. When he got to know Tom Cruise was making a sequel to the movie, he begged him to give him a role, even if it meant that he’d have to play a janitor. He said, Who should play me in a movie? It’s difficult because you have to find someone that looks like you. I don’t know any actors that I can say that looks like me. Maybe I’ll say someone like…. Michael B. Jordan for example, would be cool. But he’s much bigger and probably won’t fit in the car. So he’d have to slim down but I like his acting at least.”

Lewis revealed, “Apollo is the Greek god of sunlight, music and poetry, so I’ve always loved the name. Dawn because it is a time of other-worldliness and light, and symbolizes new beginnings. It’s generally a time of day that I love.”

Hamilton’s production house is also working on a documentary.
