Without a shadow of a doubt, Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton are arch-rivals in F1. Hamilton has won three races, while Verstappen only has two under his belt. However, there is one aspect that might surprise fans on how good Max is.

The Dutch driver has led a race with 251 laps this season so far, while Mercedes‘ Hamilton has only led for 84 laps.  In terms of points for the title, Verstappen still holds the lead in the driver’s standings and hopes to keep Hamilton behind him throughout the course of the 2021 campaign.

As analyzed by Motorsport.com, the Red Bull prodigy has led a race thrice as much as Hamilton this season so far. We have to bear in mind that only six rounds have been completed so far, and there is still a long way to go.

Can Max increase his laps led this season, or will Lewis up his game and take the fight to the Red Bull driver this season as they fight for the championship? We will just have to wait and find out to see who comes out on top.

What about the other drivers?

It is easy to forget just how talented the other drivers on the grid are when the fight for the championship is so intense. Verstappen’s Mexican teammate. Sergio Perez comes in third with 21 laps to have led a race.

While Hamilton’s teammate, Valtteri Bottas has only 19 laps for leading a Grand Prix. Sebastian Vettel of Aston Martin has four laps, which he picked from the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, While his former Ferrari, teammate, Charles Leclerc only has a single lap for leading the pack of the driver.

However, it should be stated we have only crossed off the sixth round of the championship and there are still a lot of races to be won. So we might see a change in the laps led during a Grand Prix.
