Remember when Lewis Hamilton called out his own team for not listening to his advice? That happened earlier this season when Mercedes went ahead with the zeropod concept despite the fact that Lewis Hamilton told them there were problems with it. If Lewis Hamilton can say that about his team, he definitely can criticize the others. However, his recent criticism of Max Verstappen and Co. backfired as he received backlash from the fans who gave him a reality check. What did Hamilton criticize? 

Max Verstappen and Co. breached the cost cap regulations last year for which they were penalized. The team was handed over a $7 million fine and a 10% deduction from their allocated aerodynamic testing time. However, despite the penalties, Red Bull and Max Verstappen have come out all guns blazing and are dominating the field. FIA explained that Red Bull cooperated with the finding and since the rules are new, the calculation mistakes are genuine and honest. 

Lewis Hamilton, however, disagrees with the FIA and Red Bull. The Briton has a reputation for being a crybaby. Any small inconvenience and Hamilton is on the radio complaining about it. The 7X World Champion felt that Red Bull wasn’t affected by the penalty handed to them. According to Skysports.com, Lewis Hamilton Said, “The penalty didn’t cost them anything. It definitely, definitely didn’t, it was so small.”
