The seven time world champion has won almost in every country he has raced in. And during his off-season, he also spends time in new places. Speaking to Beyond the Grid podcast in 2018, Hamilton revealed he has not seen a few countries including Bulgaria, Serbia, and Egypt, and compared this feeling to driving an F1 car for the first time.

He said, “There’s a lot of places I’ve not been to. I’ve really tried to steer clear of doing them as well. There is a life beyond racing and I don’t want to have done everything. I remember the first time I traveled to Italy. I remember landing and driving and everything just seemed so alien. And I miss that feeling.”

“Because everywhere I go I’ve often been to already, and you’ve lost that. It’s like driving an F1 car for the first time. That first feeling, it’s never going to be the same. Like when you kiss a woman for the first time, it will never be the same, it’s always different, not that it’s worse or anything, it’s different.
