Formula One is the pinnacle of motorsports; only the best drivers get to feature on the illustrious grid. Now in 2021, there will be a new rookie in F1 in the form of Guanyu Zhou.
The upcoming Alfa Romeo driver will have the freedom to choose his own number when he makes his debut in F1 next season. Seeing that some of the drivers on the grid choose a number that is special to them, it wouldn’t be a surprise that Zhou is any different.

The Chinese driver will be replacing Antonio Giovinazzi at the Swiss-based team. And many wonder, which number he will choose to dawn when he makes his debut on the F1 grid when in 2022.

Since 2014 drivers could use a permanent number, and in 2021 Zhou has chosen the number 24 for his first season in F1. An interesting fact about the number is that it was used by Timo Glock back in 2012.

Who will drive alongside Zhou in 2022?

Alfa Romeo will get a whole new driver lineup for the upcoming season. as Kimi Raikkonen, and Giovinazzi part ways Swiss-based team; they will make way for Zhou, and Valtteri Bottas.
Hence, the Vasseur-led team will have a dynamic duo for the 2022 season. On one hand, they will have an experienced driver in form of Bottas, and the other a great talent in the form of Zhou.
