While F1 drivers don’t enjoy a good reputation for their lack of social awareness, Lewis Hamilton is changing that trend. He is not just confined to the cockpit of his car, but also making a difference by speaking on various issues and happenings around the world.
This time he is using his social media platform to pay tribute to one of the modern icons, Kobe Bryant. The late ‘Black Mamba’ passed away in a devastating aerial crash that also took away the life of his daughter, Gianna Bryant. Seven other passengers also died in the crash.
So, on the anniversary of his death, Hamilton remembered him with a philosophical eulogy about life in general.

Lewis Hamilton looks to Kobe Bryant as a source of inspiration time and time again
The Mercedes driver is a master at overcoming adversity and drawing inspiration from other sources. Last year in August, around Chadwick Boseman’s sudden demise, he dedicated his victorious performance at the Belgian GP to the Black Panther legend.
Hamilton is also someone who draws a lot of flak from the F1 community. He has always been a divisive figure who has had to battle hard against his haters. But like Kobe Bryant, he embraces them and takes it all his stride.

On his Instagram handle last year, he reiterated the Los Angeles Lakers legend words, “Haters are a good problem to have. Nobody hates the good ones. They hate the great ones.”
