“Life is a Bit F***ed up” – Kimi Raikkonen Makes an Honest Social Media Admission

After 19 long years in the pinnacle of motor racing, Kimi Raikkonen has announced his retirement from the sport. The Finnish driver experienced an abundance of success in his illustrious career with 21 wins, 103 podiums, and most notably, the 2007 world championship with Scuderia Ferrari.

But one thing Raikkonen is not a big fan of was facing the media because of his shy personality. The Finn is a man of few words and he himself joined social media only four years ago. Meanwhile, ahead of the Dutch GP, Kimi Raikkonen has opened up on social media.

What did Kimi Raikkonen say?

During an interview with Top Gear ahead of the Dutch Grand Prix, before the Iceman had tested positive for COVID-19, Raikkonen was asked: What about when famous people get caught out by old tweets?

The Alfa Romeo driver replied: “Life is a bit f***ed up these days, unfortunately. It’s craziness. Whatever you say, some people like it, other people hate it. It doesn’t matter.”

However, Raikkonen has an active Instagram account and frequently uploads images with his family. Meanwhile, when asked about his Instagram account, which currently has 2.5 Million followers, the Finnish driver replied: “My brother has kids and I enjoyed being with them even before mine came along.

“Maybe it would be good to be home a bit more often, but they’re used to it, you know?” added Raikkonen.

Raikkonen set to return at the Russian Grand Prix

Following his shock retirement announcement ahead of the Dutch Grand Prix, Kimi Raikkonen missed the last two legs of the recently concluded triple-header after testing positive for Coronavirus. Alfa Romeo reserve driver Robert Kubica replaced the 2007 world champion for both races.

However, now the Iceman has confirmed that he is all recovered from the virus and will be back racing at the Russian Grand Prix.

Taking to Instagram, Kimi Raikkonen uploaded his image with a short message: “I am all good. See you at the next GP.”
