We fall short of words when describing the rivalry between Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen. The world champions fought tooth and nail for the title in the 2021 season. A battle between the two took every Formula 1 fan prisoner and kept everyone on the edge of their seats until the last lap of the season. The intense rivalry might have taken an anticlimactic turn in 2022. However, the fans are still emotionally charged and showcase their feeling on the topic at every opportunity they get. We came across another such scenario where an answer to a simple question sparked Verstappen fans to wage war against the Hamilton army.

The rivalry between the two became extremely toxic, and that left an impression on the fans as well. The impression on the fans was so potent that we still see the repercussions. We saw the latest example of that on Twitter.

UberFacts’ official Twitter page posted a question on their page. The tweet read, “What industry do you consider to be a form of legal organized crime:” One Formula 1 fan and user by the name of Jordan gave a hilarious answer to that question in his reply which sparked fury among the fans.

His reply read, “Max Verstappen’s wheel to wheel racing.” Not all fans found the simple and hilarious reply amusing. In fact, the Verstappen’s orange army showcased their outrage toward the reply.

The Verstappen stans were quick to defend the Dutch champion and point fingers at Hamilton.

The Brit had a couple of notable incidents during the 2022 season. The one with Fernando Alonso where he went airborne and also a collision during the opening stint of the Brazilian GP.

These collisions meant Hamilton had more noteworthy incidents than Verstappen in 2022. The Verstappen fans pointed exactly that out in the reaction to the tweet.

Some fans said Hamilton “was the biggest wrecking ball” in 2022. However, the blame wasn’t limited to the world champion. Some fans also put his teammate George Russell under fire for his incidents in 2022.

Verstappen fans did not spare the Mercedes men as soon as one fan dredged up the Mad Max persona. The world champions might have moved past their 2022 rivalry but the fans are not quite over it yet.
