While Lewis Hamilton may not be pleased to finish tenth in the Free Practice 1 of the Bahrain Grand Prix, he certainly has something to smile about. He has been let off the hook by The Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile, or, as we simply call them, the FIA. And the Team LH 44, as he calls his fans, are elated to see the ban go away and their favorite driver is not targeted anymore.

The said jewelry ban from the FIA was introduced last year stating that the drivers couldn’t wear any jewelry inside the cockpit except for wedding rings. The only man who turns up to the paddock in the most stylish clothes and accessories, Hamilton, saw this as a gross violation of personal choice.

During the Miami Grand Prix last year, to protest the encroaching ban, Hamilton, in protest, showed up decked in as much jewelry as possible. He wore wearing 3 watches, 8 rings, 4 necklaces, and 2 sets of earrings. But soon had to bow down to the governing body, but as the time gods have held, the FIA has decided to take no further action against the 7x champion in the ongoing jewelry tussle and has given him an exemption on medical grounds.

Fans cheer Lewis Hamilton’s victory against the FIA

Keeping tabs on Hamilton’s score against the governing body, the fans appeared overjoyed. Some comments from F1 Twitter are as follows:
