A seven-time World Champion can believe in curious things like UFOs do exist. Well, in the Formula 1 world, everything is possible. From looking at Lewis Hamilton‘s composed persona, you might never know that he believes in such “weird things“. But he actually does! The Silver Arrows racer, who will soon be going to Ferrari next year, has been enjoying the current 2024 summer break in Morocco. Meanwhile, one of his past interviewers, Steve Jones, has revealed some fascinating insights about Hamilton.
Lewis Hamilton has had a long and flourishing F1 career for over 15 years. And out of all those seasons, the Briton has won 7 World Championships too. Naturally, the Mercedes driver’s public perception is that he is a competitive person with enormous confidence and a need for speed. However, Lewis once revealed that he believed in several superstitions related to his racing.
He recalled, “When I was younger, I think I must have been 10 or 11, and my brother [Nicholas] gave me this conker, and it was my lucky conker! And then, I had a lucky pair of underwear.”

Well, Lewis no longer believes wearing a certain pair of undergarments will help him win races. Nevertheless, he believes in certain peculiar facts that others might disregard.
Speaking on this, Channel 4’s F1 coverage host Steve Jones said on a podcast, “[I was] asking Lewis Hamilton, do you think dogs can sense evil? He said, yes, they absolutely can. He’s a bit of a hippie when it comes to that stuff, you know, he believes in UFOs… all these weird things.”

Lewis Hamilton once claimed dogs can be the best judge of one’s character
Lewis Hamilton’s pet dog Roscoe is a superstar in his own right. He is famous for appearing at Lewis’ home race in Silverstone. He also gets offers for endorsing products. As Hamilton once said, Roscoe earns $700 per day from his modeling gigs. Naturally, the Silver Arrows racer gets several questions about Roscoe whenever he turns up for interviews. At one such talk, Lewis revealed that Roscoe had taught him which people he should trust and whom he should not.
