Stepping outside his race car driver persona, Lewis Hamilton graces the top entertainment and fashionable events across the globe. From sporting a puffer jacket for Moncler to buying a table at the Met Gala for upcoming black designers. The man has put the niche world of F1 on the global map with his “shiny adventures”. Contrastingly, his teammate has a weird ambiance chalked out for out-of-the-world rendezvous.
George Russell sat down for a chat with the hosts of The Fast and the Furious Podcast. And while such chats are usually about the racing and development and where Mercedes stands, this one took a rather smelly turn. The hosts began by saying, “Ross Brawn is one of the former big bosses of Formula 1. And also, the former big boss of Ferrari, the former big boss of Brawn GP who Jenson Button won the championship. You met him in the loo as well.”
George went ahead explaining what happened. “The first time I ever met Ross as well was, not that I had the courage to introduce myself as an 11-year-old boy. The first time I was sort of starstruck was at the Autosport awards…2009.” He then added, “Our urinal was together.”

George then went on to highlight that from spotting people in the washroom to having himself stalked. He said, “I have actually been asked for a photograph inside the bathroom. I have had to ask them to direct the camera away from the urinal because that’s obviously not a very nice background.”
While washrooms aren’t the ideal place for meeting someone, Russell seems to be making it his own thing. He has met quite a few people during his pee time and this time let’s see how he got to meet the newbie on the block.
Lewis Hamilton’s teammate George Russell’s washroom rendezvous continues
While one may think this is it, apparently catching up with people in washrooms is Russell’s thing. George met the then-junior driver Oscar Piastri in the loo as well. This place probably is a recurring adventure for the British youngster.

George said, “The first time I met Oscar Piastri was in 2020, I believe. We were both on a direct flight from London to Perth. I was on the way to Australian Grand Prix. He was also on the way for the Grand Prix as a junior driver and we just bumped into each other between the toilets. I think I just said, ‘You are Oscar Piastri right?’ Had a bit of a chat.”
The host asked if they were going to relieve themselves. George clarified, saying their urinals weren’t lined up directly next to each other, and they spoke while the two were washing their hands.
