Lewis Hamilton has been in Formula One since the start of the 2007 season. Since then, he has won 7-time world championships, while also achieving multiple almost unbeatable records. But because of his 2021 title defeat and a not-so-great ongoing 2022 season, there has been a lot of talk surrounding his retirement from the sport.

But even before Hamilton faced the 2021 and 2022 hardships, when he was about to lift his 4th world title, in 2017, he was asked about his retirement at the Jonathan Ross Show. There, he mentioned he had no plans to stop.

When asked if there were any plans for him to retire, Hamilton said, “No, No. I mean there’s been talks about it and I’ve definitely thought about it. And there are definitely times about where I thought you know there are other things I wanna do, but then we’re in the heat of this battle right now And I am loving it more than ever.”

“The training and all the work that you put in something and you get to really show your abilities, it’s the greatest feeling ever. So I’m gonna keep going for as long as I can,” said Hamilton.
