Reportedly, there’s a theater group in Brazil called Cia Stone De Teatro that performed a musical called ‘Ayrton Senna- The Musical’. The group performed across seven cities in Brazil. The musical showcased Ayrton Senna’s life right from his karting days, all the way to his first championship win.
In the photos posted on the theater group’s Instagram, one can see the joy on the kids’ faces enjoying the performance. The photos also showed the range of emotions felt by the audience while watching the act. From humor to tear-inducing emotions, the fans got to experience it all. The musical was actually conducted to serve a bigger purpose.
F1 musical with a charitable motive
The musical upheld the principles that the 41-race-winning legend and his family live by. According to a CNN report, Senna’s sister, Viviane, after his death, set up the Ayrton Senna Foundation, which has worked immensely for children’s education in Brazil. During the 2021 Brazilian Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton sported a Senna tribute helmet. It was never a surprise as Hamilton in his autobiography, ‘Lewis Hamilton: My Story’ had written that he had never been “star-struck”, but admitted that Senna was among the very few he would’ve been star-struck by had he met him.
Every Williams F1 car, even today, ever since his death, has a Senna tribute on it. The Formula One legend deserves every bit of respect he receives. Be it in the form of art, or any other gesture.
