Lewis Hamilton’s F1 Fate Rests on Max Verstappen’s Shoulders as Abu Dhabi Debacle Termed as the Final Chapter for the 7X Champ

In recent times, Formula 1 peaked in 2021, when we were blessed by the gods. We witnessed one of the greatest rivalries of modern times as Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen went wheel-to-wheel down to the last lap. However, a glorious season was hampered by a shambolic and tragic end as a controversial decision was made before the final lap in Abu Dhabi. And that, according to many, marked the last competing season for Lewis Hamilton.

After the Abu Dhabi fiasco, Max Verstappen and Red Bull’s dominance don’t seem interested in taking any rest and want to grab the championship as soon as possible. The era of their dominance is believed to be here, as there appears to be no challenger. With Mercedes out of the equation and with them supposedly not listening to their drivers, a Max Verstappen era could seal Lewis Hamilton’s career right at this point, i.e., seven world championships. Thus, the 2021 challenge will be the last, bringing about a horrifying end to a glorious career for the Briton.

Commenting on the Max Verstappen dominance era and its effect on Lewis Hamilton, VF of the VF1 show with VF & Vincenzo in the latest episode said, “You’re probably going to see Lewis Hamilton maybe even retire earlier than he would want to because of it. And I think that would be bad for the sport because that’s what we remember. We will remember 2021 as sort of that bookend for Lewis Hamilton, and nobody wants to remember that.”

“You don’t have to like Lewis to know that that is a sh*t way to lose your potential last world championship. We’ll see how the season plays out, especially with Red Bull and Mercedes. Lots of different storylines to follow.”

Lewis Hamilton’s chances of returning this year appear slim. With a contract extension hanging over his head, his and the careers of many others as well continue to dangle in the air.

With a pending Mercedes renewal, Eddie, as quoted by OLBG, said, “Formula 1 needs Lewis Hamilton in a Ferrari and Ferrari needs Lewis Hamilton. Hamilton should look to go to another Championship-winning team, but the drama is who is going to move aside?”
