Being one of the hottest drivers in Formula 1 is not an easy job, and Lewis Hamilton would tell you that. Besides the intensive training regime and putting their lives on the line at every race, they also have to deal with a lot of media. Interviews, podcasts, and some not-so-conventional meetings—you name it, and they’ve done it.

After the Monaco GP, Lewis Hamilton got himself stuck in a spicy situation where he was called down for an episode of Hot Ones. The name of the show is a play on the word “hot” for being popular and for the task they make their guests partake in, which is eating wings with hot sauce. However, once the shoot was over, the behind-the-scenes footage gave us a glimpse of how, although the interview was done, Hamilton was not.

Who doesn’t love a good behind-the-scenes look? Especially if it’s with the 7-time world champion. After the shoot wrapped up and Hamilton was done trying all the hot sauces the show had prepared, the Briton did not want the show to stop.

In a behind-the-scenes video from the shoot, one of the staff members showcased how Lewis Hamilton wanted more after the 6-hour interview that had him eating spicy sauces with wings. If you are a Hamilton fan, you would know that he is a vegan, so the show prepared vegan wings for him.

After chomping down wings with the sauces, Hamilton’s love for spice showed as he continued to eat spicy wings, saying, “I can start over again. Let’s still keep going!” The Mercedes driver also asked the rest of the crew if they had tried the spicy sauces that they serve on the show, as Hamilton clearly loved them.

Although Lewis Hamilton was initially dreading the interview, he managed to get himself there and have a blast while it was done. He arrived at 1:40, only to be reluctant to leave at 6:54 as the filming wrapped up. So let’s take a look at what Lewis Hamilton reveals during the flaming mouth interview.

During the interview, Lewis Hamilton was asked several questions about his career as an F1 driver and his personal life. Although he was nervous to have the spices, he soon adjusted to them and started enjoying the interview more. In the segment, he was asked questions like his pet peeve with racing movies, considering Hamilton is producing the upcoming F1 movie.

The Mercedes driver broke down that racing movies cannot be recorded at full speed as the camera is usually placed on a truck. Getting footage of a car going 200mph is next to impossible considering everything, and for that, the clips are sped up, according to the 7-time world champion.

The next question was about when Hamilton feels least comfortable in his car. Knowing the performance of the W15, Hamilton funnily answered “Right now” before explaining that it’s usually at the start of the race due to the fuel tank being heavy.

After that, there were questions about Roscoe, his dog, and the 39-year-old explained that he found Roscoe to be very relaxed as he did not chew things. However, Roscoe does have some naughty traits, as his race tradition includes leaving a stinky surprise outside the garages of other drivers. Famously, Fernando Alonso and George Russell.
