The German great was the first in the sport to win seven world championships, but Hamilton matched that legendary record after lifting his seventh title in 2020. Now, the Briton is eyeing to break that record by claiming his eighth title this season. Alongside this, Hamilton has also broken many other records like most wins, most pole positions, and most podium finished.

Now, the Brith added one more F1 record to his name that even tops the legendary Michael Schumacher. The German held the record for most podiums in consecutive seasons, which was 15. But after Lewis Hamilton got the third-place finish in the 2022 Bahrain GP, he surpassed Schumacher with 16 podiums in consecutive seasons.

More records for Lewis Hamilton to break in 2022

The most podiums in consecutive seasons aren’t the only record that the Brit can break this season. If the seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton gets a race win this season that would break another of Shumacher’s record, the most consecutive seasons with a victory.

Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes are suffering this season. The 2022 challenger W13 wasn’t impressive in pre-season testing or even in the Bahrain race weekend. Hamilton even didn’t get a front-row qualifying, only securing P5.

After qualifying, Lewis was one of the least favorites to finish on the podium in the season opener. But Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez had to retire from the race. So, this lucky accident got Hamilton his third-place finish in Bahrain. If The Briton is still eyeing for the eighth title, then he and his team both need to pull up their socks as soon as possible.
