Lewis Hamilton Stands Out With a Cheeky Birthday Message for Brother Nicolas as Millions of Fans Drop In Their Wishes

The tale of Lewis Hamilton in motorsport is nothing short of a legend. The 7x champion, being the first black F1 driver to even compete full time, then went on to forge his identity as arguably the greatest ever driver this sport has seen. However, if you feel like Lewis’ journey to the zenith of F1 is the only inspirational story to come out of the Hamilton clan, then you’re massively mistaken. While Hamilton chases that elusive 8th world title, his little brother, Nicolas, is fending off his demons.

Nicolas Hamilton suffers from Cerebral Palsy. Naturally, given his condition, the 31-year-old was warned of a life of restriction. Hence, the last thing anyone would’ve tipped him to do was become a racing driver. But the Hamilton bloodline is full of fighters. Even with Cerebral Palsy, Nicolas is a successful racing driver, notably for his exploits in the British Touring Car Championship. And on the occasion of his 31st birthday, his brother Lewis had a cheeky way of wishing his brother.

Hamilton took to his Instagram account to post a picture of the duo on his story. He captioned it, “Happy Birthday @nicolashamilton. Enjoy your day bro, young mans is getting up there,” followed by a cheeky laughing emoji.

Following suit, fans over at Instagram took their turns to wish Nicolas a happy birthday.

Nicolas himself took to Instagram to share an inspirational message on the occasion of his birthday. He wrote, “31 years young today! When I was a teenager I was always worried about how living with Cerebral Palsy & how my condition would be in my 30’s. But now i’m here, I feel FIT, STRONG, POWERFUL, HEALTHY & READY to take on whatever is next for me!”

And millions rushed to his social media handle to wish him. One fan wrote, “Happy Birthday Nicolas ! You’re an inspiration to many.” Whilst another said, “Happy birthday! I wish you all the best, much happiness every day.”
