After a gap of close to 45 days, Formula 1 legend Lewis Hamilton was recently spotted at a store in Los Angeles. He has been out of the social media glare since the Abu Dhabi debacle cost him the world title. Hamilton’s last public appearance was in Brackley to bid farewell to Valtteri Bottas.

As of now, there is no concrete update on his return to F1 for the 2022 season. Mercedes boss Toto Wolff said he will meet Hamilton in February to discuss the future course of action.  Meanwhile, the FIA recently announced that the final decisions of the Abu Dhabi review will be out on the 18th of March.

Many were basing his return on the outcome of FIA’s report. However, this delay in the final decision has invited a lot of criticism from the fans, many accusing the highest body of tokenism. As it stands, Hamilton’s decision to bow out of his seat or to stay cannot be based on the report as it will come right before the 2022 inaugural GP.
