July is the month when Lewis Hamilton expects the W13 to finally and hopefully catch up with rivals. In the seven-time world champion’s defense, he has thirsted long for a Grand Prix victory since Saudi last year. In fact, this season the Briton has made it to only one podium and has shocked the fans with his pace struggles for the first time in years.

Hamilton has consistently tried to stay positive and support the Silver Arrows’ camp. However, the car has been a frustrating ride for him and he has also made that very clear in his feedback to the team. The driver, though, remains hopeful and recently revealed that there are many things he wouldn’t want in his W14 from the W13.

Lewis Hamilton hopes for a Silverstone revival

The driver has now even named his home race as the probable deadline for Mercedes to manage a comeback. Like many fans, he has waited long for his chassis to finally unlock the pace. Wishing for the best, he revealed, ?I’m hoping that by the time we go to the British Grand Prix at Silverstone we can get the car up and running the way we want it – to be able to compete with Ferrari and Red Bull Racing.?It would be nice if we could face them at the home race.”

But how will the team do that? Because as soon as they managed to control the bouncing, the Monaco track bumps still cost the car pace. Moreover, high-speed tracks in Baku and Montreal might hurt their win chances even more. So with the next two races expected to be a nightmare for the team, can Silverstone be their saving grace?
