Formula 1 racing is a precise endeavor. That means every parameter needs to be fulfilled to the tee. After glorious year after year in the sport, you’d have expected Lewis Hamilton to have gotten the hang of paying the minutest of attention to details. However, even the greatest of men fall, and the 7x Champion Lewis Hamilton isn’t an exception. A clumsy ‘pit-stop’ error in 2015 led the then 2x Champion, on a wild west adventure, right into the traps of Death Valley!

In 2015, the Brit was taking part in an annual 3,000-mile international celebrity motor rally dubbed the Gumball 3000. Now, his Mercedes crew is the slickest of them all when it comes to pre-session prep like fueling the car up. However, the 7x Champion was far from it!

As the reports from Mirror UK would suggest, “The 30-year-old was taking part in the final leg of the Gumball race between LA and Las Vegas when his car ran out of petrol. He was seen at a petrol station filling up his fancy blue sportscar himself while also finding the time to take in the sights of Death Valley.”

“It’s believed another participant came to Lewis’ rescue and helped get him to the petrol station. Lewis joined celebrities such as David Hasselhoff and Tyson Beckford for the race before heading to the after-party at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas.”

Lewis Hamilton and an F1 car are a match made in heaven. He, however, doesn’t have such a great track record when it comes to road cars. Well, for his own sake, he’s glad that the bulk of his driving duties will be focused on breaking records on track rather than driving off of it!

The trifecta of records Lewis Hamilton can conquer in 2023

It’s crazy to even think of the number of records Lewis Hamilton already has placed next to his name. That being said, after two disappointing years, the British motoring legend would be itching to get back up to speed and take the world of F1 racing by storm.

Formula1new.co.uk reported, “Hamilton could break Schumacher’s record of 22 ‘Grand Slams’, needing four more race weekends where he takes pole position and wins the race with the fastest lap to surpass the German.”

“If the 38-year-old could go one better and record a pole position, fastest lap and then lead every lap on the way to victory three more times he would go ahead of Jim Clark who managed this feat eight times in only 73 races.”

This is obviously in addition to that elusive 8th title that would make him the most successful F1 driver ever.
