When it comes to fitness, F1 drivers rule the genre. Lewis Hamilton, among all, is no exception. The seven-time world champion is one of the fittest drivers out there in F1. However, the Mercedes ace gained a few kilograms to meet the need of the hour and this is how he managed to gain his dream body.

Talking about this, Hamilton stated on his official Instagram account, “This was a couple of years ago, I was 68kg (150lb). I’ve had to be that weight for the past 12 years and finally rules change this year and I can eat a little more and bulk up.”

I’m at 75kg (165lb) now and happier. Adding weight was easy, and I did this on a vegan diet,” shared Hamilton. “People say “oh I need my protein and that’s why I could never go vegan”. I have plenty of protein in my diet and I’ve gained muscle, and I’m healthier and happier than I’ve ever been. Wish I did it sooner”.

Being one of the most competent and ripped drivers of all time, no wonder how Hamilton is still doing fine at 37 years of age. However, Hamilton stated that he did all of this by maintaining a strictly plant-based diet. According to Business Insider, the former Mclaren driver doesn’t even eat anything that comes from a dairy.

Moreover, Business Insider had the Mercedes driver’s diet on their report. It stated Lewis Hamilton takes porridge for breakfast. This food item is a breakfast menu for many F1 drivers. But for Hamilton, breakfast usually gets more adventurous. Something like beans on toast.
