As per reports, the Milton Keynes-based team has overspent the $140 million cost cap by less than five percent. As soon as the news went public, social users urged the FIA to hand back the 2021 championship title to Lewis Hamilton.
However, The Brit is not thinking about getting back the title. Here’s all the fuss, last year’s finale will be registered as one of the most controversial races. The former race director Michael Masi’s wrong decision of a safety car arguably handed over the 2021 title to Max Verstappen. But it seems Hamilton has moved forward as he wishes to look ahead.
The seven-time world champion praised all the love and admiration he is getting from the fans. He said, “Well, firstly, I love my fans. I love how passionate they are. I’m generally looking forwards. I’m looking at how I can win another Championship.”
The F1 star further added, “I have my own opinions of what we did as a team and how we did it last year. And I’m really proud of that.”

As per the latest developments, FIA has offered Red Bull an accepted breach agreement. The minor breach of the cost cap can give a big blow to the two-time world champion. If the FIA decides to put any driver’s sporting penalty, it can lead to the deduction of points from the driver’s championship. Although the Dutchman isn’t concerned about the situation.

Although knowing the situation, the Red Bull driver is calm and confident about the team. The Austrian team will head to Austin, knowing they can register for their constructor’s championship of 2022.
When asked did the offer affected the team’s environment, the two-time world champion told Sky Sports F1, “No, from what I heard within the team I think we really understand where we are at, from our side. But at the end of the day of course, it’s something between the team and the FIA, they have to sort out, so I’m just focused on the driving part.”
