Recently, he took to his Instagram to update his fans about his current mental and physical state. It has been a tough start to the season for the Mercedes driver as he has been struggling to find the pace in his W13.

But before the season even began, there were a lot of question marks as to whether or not Lewis would continue racing. He had taken a break from social media for almost all of the off-season. The manner in which he lost the championship to Max Verstappen had hurt Hamilton.

The Mercedes driver has also spoken about how COVID-19 has affected his physical health. Since returning from COVID, Hamilton has been struggling to achieve his top physical shape.
He’s often seen completely exhausted after completing a race or struggling to stand on a podium due to fatigue. On his Instagram Story, he reminded his fans it has not been an easy time for him.
“It’s been such a tough year already with everything that is happening around us. Hard some days to stay positive. I have struggled mentally and emotionally for a long time. To keep going is a contestant effort, but we have to keep fighting. We have so much to do and achieve,” said Lewis.

“I’m writing to tell you it’s okay to feel what do you do, just know that you are not alone and we are going to get through this! A friend reminded me today that you are so powerful and you can do anything you put your mind to.”
“We can do anything we put our mind to! Let’s remember to live in gratitude for another day to rise. Sending you love and light,” wrote Hamilton.
