This year at the US Grand Prix held in Austin, Texas, Lewis Hamilton took some time off from basking in the love of the fans to send a shout-out to a friend who won’t be attending the race this weekend. We all know Matthew McConaughey is a big F1 fan, however, he is a fan and a friend of Lewis Hamilton, too!

Although Lewis Hamilton will not be competing for titles at this year’s US Grand Prix, he was graced with Academy Award winner McConaughey reminiscing about the last time when Hamilton won the F1 title at Austin. McConaughey took to Instagram to share a picture of the two.

Hamilton replied to the post, “Miss you here in Austin bro.”

Even though the 7x Champion would be without his buddy McConaughey at the Circuit of The Americas this race day, he still has his flock of fans. Throughout the weekend, Hamilton was kept busy by all the love and support showered on him by his faithful legion of fans in the States.
