Lewis Hamilton is a fan of several Hollywood entities. The Briton often takes to social media to express his admiration and devotion towards anyone. This time he directed it towards Tom Cruise.

The Mission Impossible star landed in France a few hours ago and has been making headlines since. Cruise attended the Cannes Film Festival to promote his new movie alongside cast mates.

Lewis Hamilton finds a legend in Tom Cruise

Fans widely know Cruise to enjoy thrilling action sequences. In fact, the actor is famous for performing daring stunts all by himself. Understandably, the 59-year-old also enjoys speeding cars and has made it to the paddocks before. He has, in fact, met Hamilton previously and shared a quick fist bump with him.

In a recent story, Hamilton posted a picture of the actor and called him a “Legend”. Hamilton often does this with several other celebrities whenever he wishes to express something related to them. Cruise, on the other hand, looked suave in a tuxedo as he made way to the premiere of his new movie at the prestigious Film Festival.

The movie called “Top Gun Maverick” will be released on 27th May. Tom and the cast arrived for a photocall also and the event saw many other attendees like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Pooja Hegde, etc. Several photos of the cast alongside Tom have surfaced on the internet as the movie gains tremendous buzz. Moreover, the star was honored with Palme d’Or, which is the highest prize one could receive at the Film Festival.

Can Lewis win his fifth Spanish GP in a row?

Lewis, on the other hand, will be prepping for the Spanish Grand Prix this week. The British driver has won the GP four years in a row, with his latest win being the 2021 season itself. However, this year team Mercedes has struggled immensely with their pace, putting Hamilton at risk of losing. The 37-year-old has shockingly managed just 1 podium in the last 5 races.

Moreover, Hamilton has definitely struggled more with the car. He was knocked out of Q1 at Saudi, struggled to overtake an AlphaTauri at Imola, and even stands behind George Russell, who is notably in his debut season with Mercedes. Currently, Hamilton remains out of contention for an eighth world title.
