A decade ago, when Lewis Hamilton was still to shatter Formula 1’s glass ceiling, he had one thing figured out. He knew who he wanted to play him if it ever came to a point that someone decides to make a biopic on him. He picked Jamie Foxx. Impressed by the Oscar winner’s performance in Quentin Tarantino-directed Django Unchained, the then 1x champ had zeroed in on him. Years later, that love is still not lost as the Mercedes driver took to social media to send his good wishes to the ailing actor.
Last month, Foxx’s daughter took to Instagram to announce that her 55-year-old dad had “experienced a medical complication” the day prior. This happened in Atlanta while he was filming the Netflix movie ‘Back in Action,’ starring Cameron Diaz and Glenn Close, directed by Seth Gordon.
Giving the world an update, Foxx took to his official Instagram account and posted a health update three weeks after the said complication news. He wrote, “Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed.” And celebrities and fans alike united to share their happiness listening to this. Our own Lewis Hamilton wasn’t far behind. He shared the actor’s post with a folded hands emoticon in gratitude.

Lewis Hamilton is still to put pen to paper and the rumor mill surrounding the 7x champion’s seat is growing. While some are linking Charles Leclerc to the seat, others see fellow Briton Lando Norris as a good fit. But the team CEO and TP, Toto Wolff, has come out to clarify and state no love is lost.
Wolff stated, “That is what it looks like at the moment, and we just need to give him a car that can do that and hopefully we can get our package to a winning package this season and have something that can bring him his eighth title, and no doubt he is motivated to achieve this. That’s something he wants to do, that’s his ability, we have a great relationship personally, and with the team, he’s been a strong pillar over the last 10 years, so we are in a really good place.”
