When it comes to Lewis Hamilton’s achievements on the track, there are only a few other drivers that ever come close. Yet, the 7-time world champion is currently dethroned by Max Verstappen. The battle of two world champions is something all F1 fans love to see, but currently, Hamilton has not been performing as expected.
Max Verstappen has been a constant race leader and already has a significant points lead compared to the rest of the grid. And the thing that separates him from Lewis Hamilton is his consistency. Although the Briton has plenty of experience behind the wheel and at winning races, the Dutchman takes things to a whole new level. Among all people in the F1 community, former F1 racer, Ralf Schumacher thinks so too, as he said in a recent interview with Formel1.de
Schumacher said, “He will certainly bring his experience and his intuitions, but I think Ferrari is already on the right path.” He further said, “Hamilton won’t be able to contribute much”, and “Hamilton is, obviously, a seven-time world champion and a fantastic driver, but I don’t think he has the qualities of Verstappen.” The Former F1 driver concluded by saying, “I don’t think he’s as consistent as him, and he can’t eliminate that extra tenth at all costs.”
With that, Schumacher made a statement that will divide the F1 community into fans who believe that Lewis Hamilton will be an 8-time champion, and others who believe that he is off his prime. That being said, there should be more to learn about Ralf’s take on the Lewis Hamilton Ferrari move, which we will see shortly as this is a building piece.
