When not driving his Formula 1 car, Lewis Hamilton often engages in adventure sports. From surfing to skydiving, the Briton does whatever he can to keep that adrenaline flowing. And to keep him company for his dirt-biking adventure, he had quite the companion.
When Lewis Hamilton went dirt biking with Justin Bieber
Justin Bieber was the first of many to congratulate Lewis Hamilton on his 2016 Monaco GP win. That became the starting point of the friendship between the two. Before the following fixture, the Canadian GP, the two went out mountain biking and jet surfing.
The duo saddled onto the bikes that cost around $17,139 with Hamilton sporting the Honda CRF450R and Bieber the Yamaha WR250F.

The Mercedes driver posted pictures of the two on their rides with mountainous backgrounds on Instagram. Posting the throwback photos a few years back, Lewis captioned: #Throwback to me & the brother @justinbieber on dirt bikes in Colorado. #goodtimes.
Emotional after the win in Monaco, Hamilton was congratulated by the pop star as he leaped out of his car. Bieber later took to Instagram to congratulate the winner. He wrote, “Love ya bud @lewishamilton .. thanks for making this memory so special! I’ll never forget the moment u and I passed the Champaign back and fourth after you crushed everyone out there!”
Lewis Hamilton reveals why he engages in adventure sports
Last year, Lewis Hamilton appeared on the Desus & Mero for an interview. There, he talked about why it is a necessity for him to engage in thrilling activities when he is not racing.
Hamilton said, “I love surfing. I sky dive, love skydiving.”

One of the hosts asked him if was “an adrenaline junkie?” Hamilton responded, “Yeah, you basically have to substitute it. Because the races. You’re on this massive high and when you come after the race, the next couple of days, you’re just crashing down.”
“Then you hit a low. Then you have to pick yourself back up. You’re back into training. So I usually fill it in with things, fun activities in between training.”
