Aside from his main team, the 39-year-old also paid tribute to the Mercedes-Benz board and company personnel. However, he insisted that it was the right time in his career to step away and undertake a new challenge. Lewis Hamilton compared it to the time when he first joined the Mercedes works team back in 2013. He knew that many did not understand the logic behind the move at the time, and felt that it would be the same with Ferrari.
So when the 2025 Formula One season arrives, he hopes to see what he can bring to the table. Of course, Hamilton is aware that 2025 is still some time away, so he is training his focus on the upcoming campaign in 2024. He acknowledged, “I am more driven than ever, I am fitter and more focused than ever and I want to help Mercedes win once again. I am 100% committed to the job I need to do and determined to end my partnership with the team on a high.
