Formula 1 returned after the summer break, and it did not disappoint. The race contained everything including speed, drama, messed-up strategies, etc. However, the incident which stood out was Fernando Alonso’s rant on the radio against Lewis Hamilton. The Spaniard didn’t hold back after Lewis Hamilton collided with him, which eventually ended his race in the 1st lap.

Alonso went on to finish the race in P5 while it was Lewis’ first DNF of the season. Lewis Hamilton later accepted that it was his mistake, and he had nothing to comment regarding Alonso’s radio rant.
Fernando Alonso has now apologized for his comments on Hamilton. He said, “If you say something to a Latin driver, everything is a bit more fun. If you say it to Lewis it is a bit more serious. But yes, I apologize. I feel… I am not thinking about what I said. “
The former McLaren teammate of Hamilton agreed that he spoke up in the heat of the moment, which he later regretted. The Spaniard said, “The heat of the moment and the adrenaline of the moment, finally fighting for top two, top three, made me say those comments that I should not say.”
He also shared an Instagram story where the two world champions’ saga seems to have reached a happy ending.
This truly might be an Avengers level crossover.

He further said he believes the Latin drivers in F1 like Perez, Sainz, and himself get unfairly treated by the British media. However, it is a good thing that two of the most experienced drivers on the grid are leading by example for the younger generation. Alonso concluded by saying, “I have absolutely no problems with him and I have huge respect for him.”
