It looks like the F1 epic documentary on Apple+ is ready to go on the floor soon. The director of Top Gun Maverick, who will be at the helm of the documentary, Joseph Kosinski, provided an update regarding the development of the project. He also referenced Lewis Hamilton and his role in the film’s making.

Hollywood actor Brad Pitt’s production company Plan B Entertainment will produce the film with the 7-time world champion also on as one of the producers. Kosinski while promoting Top Gun Maverick revealed he was very excited to work on the project.

“We are prepping it now and my hope is that we will be shooting next year during the 2023 F1 season. I am producing it along with Jerry Bruckheimer, Lewis Hamilton, and Plan B, so I’ve got a dream team of collaborators on this one,” said the Holywood Director.

Lewis is no stranger to mingling in Hollywood circles. He spends a decent amount of his time in the USA, which ha meant that he has cultivated some relationships with Hollywood stars. But he has no preference for who should play him in a potential biopic.

The Mercedes driver mentioned he does not have any opinion on the casting of actors for his potential biopic. He revealed he had done a cameo in Cars 2 and that is the limit of his Hollywood expertise.

No idea. People keep asking me about them. There are so many amazing, talented individuals out there. Oh yeah, I’ve done a couple. That was kinda easy, being an old man. Done a couple of small bits, I did a little Cameo in Cars 2,” said the 7-time world champion.

Although there are no biopics about the life of Lewis Hamilton in the making. It would be so interesting to see a film or a documentary made about his life and his career in F1.

But don’t expect the British driver to star in his own biopic. Yet with his Hollywood links, surely there could be something in the works about the 7-time world champion.
