The Dutch GP is expected to be filled with Max Verstappen’s Orange Army. However, his championship rival has fanatical Dutch fans as well. A Lewis Hamilton fan takes the cake this weekend with an over-the-top expression of his love for the driver.
A fan had charted a plane to read the message ” 7 x world champion. Simply lovely.” The fan splashed a decent amount of his pocket money on the gesture; costing him £1,600. All this is to silence the fans that discourage the world champion.

The message also featured the “simply lovely,” Verstappen was quoted saying the same after taking pole in Spa last Sunday. The mega-fan, Steele, said, “It’s a cheeky opportunity to show Lewis some extra support as he steps into the lion’s den here in Max’s backyard.”

Steele realized that Hamilton’s team is outnumbered for this race, and tried his best to make up for it. With words of encouragement, he quoted his hero: “We may be few, but as Lewis says.. still we rise!” This must be a really good feeling for Hamilton, who draws a lot of energy from the support of his fans.
Booing at Zandvoort for Lewis Hamilton
The seven-time world championed has faced immense backlash from the Verstappen fans after the incident in Silverstone. In conversation about this behavior, Max Verstappen said that there’s nothing he could do, and that it is all a part of the sport.
However, Hamilton takes it the way it is; the driver finds solace in those in his corner. He said, “Obviously it’s something you can expect. I know I have some Team LH fans here in the Netherlands that I appreciate.”

Hamilton even praised his fans for taking the discouragement as well. “There will be some of them in the stands. I admire them that they endure that booing too. But that’s sports. I try to turn that energy into something positive.”

As the race weekend begins, it’s good to see that Team LH is looking out for their hero. As Hamilton attempts to secure his 100th race win, the cheers of the Hamilton fans should be loud enough for the driver’s success.
