Lewis Hamilton has an immense fan following; some of which are borderline insane fanatics. Recently, one Hamilton fan has taken things too far to receive attention on the internet. The fan account @centurionlewis on Twitter has landed in major hot water.
The account announced the death of its handler on August 3rd. However, that was not the case, as the person behind the account is alive and well. The admin is believed to be a 28-year-old man named Liam from Ipswich.
I posted my @Centurionlewis thread a week ago. Since then, I've been a target of constant attacks, death threats, and much more. Let's meet the person behind the @Centurionlewis profile – Liam. pic.twitter.com/GWkdgABHbN

Another Twitter account lead the expose on @CytrusF1. In his tweet he wrote “Liam is working as a hospital porter and not as a railroad worker, nor was he involved in the car crash. Liam also doesn’t have terminal cancer… Liam is, in fact- ALIVE and, most importantly, well.”
A few days before his alleged passing away, Liam also allegedly secured tickets from Mercedes for a tour of their Brackley factory. He also got tickets to the 2022 Hungarian GP costing nearly $3000

That CenturionLewis guy legit played a whole ass F1 Team into giving him a your factory. What a vile mf

The falsity of this fan left others enraged. Using a sob story to benefit off teams, will now only deprive people who actually deserve such wishes to be granted. This has easily made the admin public enemy no.1 on F1 twitter.
the worst part about this centurionlewis situation is this has not only taken away the opportunity another fan would’ve had for the visit he did take, but will make it a lot less accessible for terminally ill fans to be given exclusive experiences with f1 teams because of him

The worst thing about this CenturionLewis thing is that real victims of cancer and other illnesses will now be afraid to say so in fear of people believing they're lying and just saying it for clout.
What he did is insulting to every cancer victim. Disgusting.

That CenturionLewis guy is so sick in the mind. People everyday die from cancer and he has the audacity to fake having cancer and dying is so sick in the mind. I hope he gets what he deserves

Some people took this chance to remind people to be extra careful who to trust and what to believe on the internet.
The news about CenturionLewis being fake is a perfect example of why it's so important to think for yourself on Twitter.
Don't ever be afraid to ask for more information about something. Form your own opinion based on facts.

We as a community need to step together to ensure it doesn't happen again. False stories like the one Liam told us shine away from the people who actually need our unconditional support.

However, some fans took the light-hearted approach, making the memes roll in.
