Hamilton wrote, “I’m constantly searching for peace and harmony in both my mind, body and spirit. This helmet is inspired by the crystal Amethyst, to keep me grounded and bring me peace and tranquility.”
The British driver is well aware of the battle he will have to face in the season ahead; talented drivers such, Max Verstappen, Daniel Ricciardo, and his teammate, Valtteri Bottas stand in his way of the title. Thus, not only he has to be mentally prepared but also keep calm and patient, for the journey that awaits him is quite long.
The Knight only extended for a year with the Silver Arrows
Mercedes‘s number 44 only signed a one-year extension for this team. While there was significant speculation over the “weird” duration of the contract, Hamilton had a genuine reason behind it.
During the launch, he said, “Firstly, I’m kind of in a fortunate position where I’ve achieved most of the stuff I wanted to achieve up until this point, so there’s no real need necessarily to plan too far ahead in the future. We’re living through an unusual period of time in life and I just wanted one year.
“Then we can talk about if we do more, and keep adding it [by] one if we have to.”
