As the 2022 F1 season finally comes to an end with the last race at the Abu Dhabi GP, the drivers have reflected on their journey as they prepare to gear up for the next year. The Mercedes man, Lewis Hamilton, was no different.

Having experienced a rather difficult season, the Briton couldn’t be happier to be moving on from the current year to the next one. With a new year, come new opportunities and the seven-time world champion believes that he can confidently come back stronger.

As the season has come to an end, F1’s Billion Dollar Man took to his Instagram to post a picture of himself in his driving suit and his helmet, holding up a peace sign. He expressed his gratitude with a caption that went along with his post. He used this opportunity to say that he is ‘glad the season has come to an end.’

Hamilton wrote, “I’m pretty sure I speak for all of us when I say I’m glad the season has come to an end. Won’t miss it! Still, l want to thank my team for all the hard work this year. Through it all, we pushed on and learned so much that will get us back to the top next year. I have no doubt we’ll come back better. We’ll be back. I’ll be back.”

Although Lewis has had a tough year, his struggles aren’t lost on Toto Wolff. The Mercedes boss has now come forward to express how the seven-time champion has played a crucial role for the team this year.

The Mercedes Team Principal, Toto Wolff, is grateful for Lewis Hamilton and his contributions in the team this season.

He said, “For me knowing him for 10 years from a personal side, he was exceptional. Better than all the performances in the car, his attitude and mindset this year was outstanding. He has held us up at times, kept the energy level up when it was down even on days where it was difficult for him.”

Toto concluded by saying that next year will be a tough competition. He said, “You need to acknowledge that the competition is strong, but we will do everything in our power to set our objectives high and try to reach them.”
