George Russell seems to be on cloud nine with his extraordinary performance throughout the Brazilian GP weekend. He got P1 in the sprint race at the Interlagos circuit and lined up to start the main race ahead of everyone else. Post the race, the Mercedes pair was seen having selfies with the crowd and Hamilton informed his 30 million family on Instagram about a notorious maneuver his teammate made.

Russell joined Mercedes at the beginning of this year. The young Briton has over shined the team’s star driver, Lewis Hamilton, with his pace. This past weekend, the 24 years got his career’s first win and with that, he averted what could have been the first season since 2012 for the Silver Arrows without a win.
