As a new era of Formula 1 beckons, the fans will hope for thrilling races after Bahrain and Saudi Arabia provided the same. Ferrari and Red Bull are setting the pace up front, as Mercedes continues to struggle. However, Lewis Hamilton endured a solid start to the season in Bahrain, but things took a turn for the worse when he was shockingly eliminated in Q1 during the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.

The good news for the Silver Arrows is there are 21 races still left, and they will look to bounce back after a tough start. Meanwhile, Lewis Hamilton took time out to answer some questions from the Mulberry school kids. He also revealed his favorite place to travel on a holiday.

Lewis Hamilton reveals his favorite place to travel

The Seven-time World Champion has been all over the world for a holiday or to race in a Grand Prix. A question from a kid in the Mulberry school popped up on what is Hamilton’s preferred place to travel. The answer could surprise a few as he picked Indonesia, citing his admiration for the country’s culture and people.

He said, “My favorite place that I’ve traveled to, I would say, I think probably Indonesia has been my favorite. Great weather, great food, there is a really great culture there I think, people are very, they’re the nicest of people there and how they present themselves to you, how they welcome you, how they take care of you. There’s a, there’s a cool vibe out there, so yeah.”

Hamilton’s approval of Indonesia will make the Indonesian fans of Formula 1 happy, without a doubt. There are also reports suggesting initial talks on a Grand Prix in Indonesia. The fans will hope for a race in the country in the future.

Meanwhile, on the track, Hamilton’s start to the season has been disappointing. The W13’s issues have not helped him as he suffered a Q1 exit in Jeddah. As he finished 10th in the race, his ambition to achieve an unprecedented 8th title is in doubt.

The 2021 season saw Max Verstappen and Hamilton competing against each other. Eventually, the Dutchman emerged victorious in the last race of the season. It took a toll on the Brit as questions were raised about whether he will race again. He came back to the grid for his 16th season in Formula 1, but in a recent interview, the seven-time World Champion revealed his mental struggles.

He said, “It has been such a tough year already with everything that is happening around us. I have struggled mentally and emotionally for a long time, to keep going is a constant effort but we have to keep fighting. We have so much to do and to achieve.”
