For much of his career, Lewis Hamilton has been regarded as an ardent human rights advocate. Unsurprisingly, the 7-time world champion spoke out against the overturned Roe v. Wade decision. Hamilton is one of the few drivers to stand up for marginalized communities, support women’s rights, donate handsome lumps of his salary to charitable causes, etc.

The 37-year-old often uses social media platforms to present his views and thoughts. Further, he never shies away from using his fame and distinction to voice and empower many social causes. Amidst the uproar caused by the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision over the reproductive decisions of several millions of individuals, Hamilton again penned down his thoughts.

He wrote, “Disgusted by the decision made by the Supreme Court in the US today. I don’t understand why some in power pushed and continue to push to strip rights away from millions of people. This decision will impact the most vulnerable among us. Women, people of colour, members of the LGBTQIA+ community and so on.”

“The following organizations provide resources to protect the people that need it and fight to ensure peoples rights to choose.”

He further sourced the sites which can help out the needy individuals accordingly. These websites were all aimed at protecting and fighting for the cause. Notably, the driver also reposted Michelle Obama’s story and called the decision “awful”.

The driver has had many ups and downs this season. However, many would agree that the 2022 season was one of the worst ever to have been faced by Hamilton. The Briton has been on the podium only twice and has won no races this year. Moreover, his car is simply off the pace of his rivals as he struggles to manage it during races.
