F1 great Lewis Hamilton has been around controversies. Recently, the Mercedes driver was summoned by the stewards ahead of the Singapore Grand Prix for an alleged breach of Appendix L of the FIA’s International Sporting Code. Lewis visited the Stewards about an hour before qualifying at the Marina Bay Circuit.

Fortunately, for the Brit and his fans, FIA confirmed that the steward won’t take any action over the issue.

Stewards ensure that the rules are getting followed properly. With this, The FIA’s summon for Hamilton stated, “The driver and team representative are required to report to the Stewards at 19:45 in relation to the incident.”

Chapter III of the code covers the driver’s equipment. This includes helmets, flame-resistant clothing, frontal head restraint, safety belts, and the wearing of jewelry.

It seems Lewis’ jewelry has acquired the steward’s attention again as Hamilton was spotted wearing a nose stud again, after the Saturday qualifying.

The Steward panel which summoned the Mercedes man had Derrick Warwick on the team. This is the same person who made an infamous comment about Max Verstappen.

Back in 2016, Derrick Warwick, during the BBC’s Chequered Flag podcast, said, “Max Verstappen is a Great white Hope for the moment.”

Derrick clarified this statement of his after Abu Dhabi 2021. In a tweet, he wrote, “I might have said he’s the next great thing, but whether he white, black, green or yellow makes no difference to me. Just greatness.”

Hamilton’s been to stewards on a number of occasions. At Miami Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton wore multiple watches to support his jewelry stance.

He said, “I’ve been in the sport for 16 years, and I’ve been wearing jewelry for 16 years. In the car, I only have my earrings on and my nose ring, which I can’t even remove.”

Twitter F1 fans are reacting hilariously. Some support the summoning, some don’t.
