Lewis Hamilton claimed an unlikely podium at the Bahrain Grand Prix. The Brit was behind the Ferraris of Leclerc and Sainz. He inherited third place after both Red Bulls in front of him hit trouble in the final few laps. Hamilton’s rival, Max Verstappen, went into the race as a hot favorite, but his steering and fuel issues saw him retire. After Sunday’s podium, Hamilton has now scored points in 250 races. Former Ferrari driver, Michael Schumacher, who scored points in 221 races, held the previous record.

Hamilton broke one more record on his way to a 3rd place finish in Bahrain. The Seven-Time World Champion is the only driver to land on a podium for a 16th consecutive season. His journey on the podium started with McLaren on his debut season in Australia. Additionally, he has 103 career wins, which is the highest yet, most points in a season, and several more unequaled feats to his name.
