Lewis Hamilton‘s brother, Nicholas, is a regular in the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC). Many don’t know that he is the only differently-abled driver on the BTCC grid. Ever since taking to the wheelchair at the age of 12 because of Cerebral Palsy, Nicholas never lost hope. Some even believed that he made it in life because of his brother and his fortunes. However, the younger Hamilton sibling had said it before and he’s said it again, that he’s made it all the way on his own. Nicholas recently revealed the big milestone he achieved ahead of the BTCC 2023 season.

Lewis draws a yearly salary of $50 million from Mercedes. To top that, he has some lucrative deals with sponsors and brands he endorses. Over the years, according to Celebrity Net Worth, the F1 sensation has accumulated a $285 million net worth for himself. However, none of it appeals to his younger sibling, who has carved out a path for himself on his own.

The BTCC competitor recently took to Instagram to share his inspirational achievement. Giving a glimpse of the car he’ll compete with, in the captions he wrote, “I can’t believe it … I have done it again. I have raised all of my own funds, off of my own hard work, determination & self belief to where I can proudly announce that I will remain on the BTCC Grid with @teamhard_racing for 2023!”

“As I head into my 5th consecutive season in the series, there is not a day that goes by where I do not ‘pinch’ myself for the privilege to continue living my dream.”
