Once again adding the element of surprise to the intense world of Formula 1, the former team principal cameoed in the highly anticipated ‘F1’ co-produced by Lewis Hamilton and starring Brad Pitt. Surely, Guenther featuring in a large-scale commercial movie wasn’t in anybody’s 2024 bingo cards. Joseph Kosinski is directing the movie, and it has been hitting the headlines since the teaser’s release last Friday. However, for all the wrong reasons.

Many fans didn’t particularly enjoy having Brad Pitt and his team in Silverstone; second, the title was a big disappointment for the fans. They had expected a much ‘cooler name’ and not simply ‘F1’. And lastly, a particular dialogue in the teaser has raised concerns. Moreover, many did not appreciate Brad Pitt and Damson Idris being in the media pool after the race. However, lightening the mood, Guenther Steiner came to the rescue!

The 1 minute 47 seconds long teaser, highlighted the high-intensity sport- F1. Starting with Brad Pitt’s character asking for a combat car to the on-track rivalry. Every scene is well-captured and holds the essence of the sport. But at 1 minute and 02 seconds, somebody popped their head out from the pit wall, and it was none other than Guenther Steiner. Guenther Steiner is one of the many F1 personalities, the new movie will be featuring. As the movie promises to bring reality into the film, it is obvious that many F1 drivers and team principals are a part of it. Carlos Sainz has already participated in the filming, and many more are yet to be disclosed. However, this is not the first time that an F1 personality has been a part of a movie.

Lewis Hamilton, Fernando Alonso, Mika Häkkinen, and a few others gave their voice in the popular Disney movie ‘Cars 2’. Additionally, F1 legend Mario Andretti gave his voice to the race officials in the 2013 movie ‘Turbo’. The movie Driven (2001) featured Canadian F1 driver Jacques Villeneuve. So, besides racing in their superfast cars, these legendary drivers have also been a part of successful movie projects.
