Every fairytale has an ending and last night was the perfect farewell to 4-time world champion Sebastian Vettel. The German was joined by Mick Schumacher, Daniel Ricciardo, and Nicholas Latifi, who won’t be present on the grid next season. Moreover, all their teams gave the drivers a fitting tribute, all but one.

Haas F1 found themselves in hot water among fans after their odd post-race orders to Mick Schumacher. It was the German driver’s last race with the Kannapolis-based constructors. Mick finished P16 in his final race in Abu Dhabi and ended his season with 12 points.
After the race, Mick proceeded to perform donuts like Sebastian Vettel and Ricciardo. However, he was immediately told not to do so by his team. The race engineer said on the radio, “Sorry, Mick, can you stop doing donuts, please? Seriously. I’m sorry, Mick, but we just can’t, sorry.”
Mick Schumacher’s response probably summed up his Haas tenure. He replied, “It’s alright, Ayao. Love you too.” to his trackside engineer Ayao Kamatsu in a sad and melancholic tone.
At Abu Dhabi, only the top 3 drivers and Sebastian Vettel were allowed to do donuts. However, such directives do not stop the drivers from entertaining the crown. Hence, we are unsure why Haas asked Mick not to perform donuts. Maybe they wanted to save their engine, clutch, and gearbox for testing that will take place there this week.

Mick will be replaced by his compatriot Nico Hulkenberg next year. Consequently, Schumacher is arguably the favorite for the Mercedes reserve seat vacated by AlphaTauri-bound Nyck de Vries.
F1 Twitter mercilessly condemns Haas’ reaction to Mick Schumacher performing donuts post-race
Mick Schumacher’s torrid time in the team came to an end after last night’s Abu Dhabi GP. However, Haas did manage to ruin his last moments in their car as well after they scolded the German for performing donuts.
Fans bashed the American team for not letting Mick perform donuts in his last race. Furthermore, one fan even quoted Guenther Steiner and labeled them a “bunch of wan**rs”.

Haas really told Mick to stop doing donuts instead of giving him a worthy goodbye. #AbuDhabiGP

the way how haas told off mick for doing some last donuts in the track makes me so angry. mick deserves a better team, with nicer people.

Consequently, fans also called out Haas for being the only team to treat their departing driver unfairly.
Thinking about Mick doing donuts because its his last fucking race in F1 and a lot of his friends are leaving the sport forever and THEN THE TEAM TELLING HIM TO STOP DOING CELEBRATORY DONUTS AND HIM SOUNDING SO BROKEN OVER THE RADIO?? This is the start of my villain arc fuck HAAS

We can all agree this is how you send of a driver. This is what Mick also deserved. I’ve just seen his onboard and I’m so disappointed. At least I don’t have to support haas next season 🤷🏻♀️ pic.twitter.com/5HhW6q9FMk
