“Smooth Operator”- Carlos Sainz will sing these words next year driving for Ferrari. The Spaniard is moving from McLaren to Ferrari next season. The Maranello-based outfit announced earlier this year that Sainz will replace Sebastian Vettel next season.
McLaren posted an emotional video on social media, sending Carlos off to Ferrari. Sainz is still living in awe of wearing the iconic scarlet suit. Meanwhile, he talked about his teammate Charles Leclerc in an interview.
He said, “He doesn’t look at me any other way, but with Charles whenever I have been able to chat to investigate something before the anthem, the conversations last a minute or two but that’s what I can talk about.

“We’ve gotten along well since he came to F1 and I hope It will continue to be that way. He’s more serious and quiet than Lando, that’s for sure, even I was,” he further added,

Carlos Sainz dreams of winning with Ferrari
Ferrari is one of the most successful constructors in the history of Formula 1. However, this year, the Italian giants recorded their worst outing since 1980. Carlos Sainz hops into the SF21 in the hopes of turning their luck around and bringing them glory.

He said, “Whenever you dream of Ferrari you dream of winning, they are words that go hand in hand and my dream has always been to win with them, it will be complicated, of course, I will give everything to try to make it happen.
“There is still a long way to go restructuring, a lot of improvement with the team to put myself in a position to win one day, but it’s the ultimate goal and what I’m going to try,” he further added.

Carlos Sainz finished the season at P6. He had a total of 6 Top-5 finishes this season and displayed a strong season finish with eight points.
Sainz and Charles Leclerc are a young and hungry pair. The pair will work with the team in a bid to lead the team back to their glory days.
