Oscar Piastri: Jack of all trades or master of none? What's your take on his Olympic cameo?

They say that meeting your doppelgänger brings you luck. If this is true, then consider it a very fortunate time for Oscar Piastri! The Aussie racer has been in the news for going public and addressing his fans during the ongoing summer break in F1. He had to clarify that he had not joined a side hustle at the Olympics even though a Dutch gymnast, Frank Rijken, looking eerily similar to Oscar appeared at the Games. Now, he might need to repeat the same thing once again as another Piastri lookalike has popped up in Paris.

The whole world has its eyes on the Olympics and so does Oscar Piastri. Except, it’s not just the sports part that he likes. The McLaren racer seems to like rooting out all the athletes who look like his carbon copies too. While he has already spotted Frank Rijken from the Dutch contingent, a new doppelgänger should be on his radar. This time, it is a participant in the breaking event that has made its debut in the Olympics in 2024.

A female break-dancer from Hungary, Szarvák Csenge, took part in the breaking competition that started off during the last few days of the Paris Olympics. Going by her stage name B-Girl Senge, Szarvák seems suspiciously similar to Oscar Piastri. The only difference might be the length of hair using which you can tell the two sports persons apart.

Fans claim Oscar Piastri needs to take a step back from other sports

Oscar Piastri is currently enjoying his time away from F1 for a few weeks until the Dutch GP rolls in. While the fans have not heard from the 23-year-old in the past few days, they have spotted him—at the Paris Olympics. Well, the fans did not actually see Piastri as it was a female break dancer who matched the Australian racer’s description to the t. Seeing B-Girl Senge, many people flooded the social media site X to express their shock.

Have an interesting take?

Oscar Piastri might be famous for his racing talent, but the Australian has been getting traction from the Olympics followers too. This is because there are some athletes competing at the Summer Games in Paris who look just like Oscar. When a few people spotted Frank Rijken of the Netherlands, the McLaren star said, “I can confirm that I’m not competing at the Olympics.” However, a female lookalike of Oscar has come into prominence now. And some fans have said, “That’s his [Oscar’s] female clone, Ocarina actually.”

Oscar Piastri has a typical look with his wavy hair that falls on his forehead and his low-set eyebrows. Interestingly, the Olympian B-Girl Senge has almost the same appearance. But the only exception between them is that the length of the breaking participant’s hair is a longer than Oscar’s. Another fact is that Csenge sported maroon-red hair before coming to the Olympics while Piastri has dark brown hair. But now, the B-Girl has dyed her hair brown, so the difference is not there anymore. Thus, an X user wrote, “Grew out his hair and thought we wouldn’t notice.”

Some of the die-hard fanatics of Oscar Piastri might have taken the news of his participation at the Olympics too seriously. When they found out the similarities between Szarvák Csenge and their F1 idol, they flipped out! And in a classic meme-style, they commented, “@OscarPiastri you have 24 hours to respond.” But what might happen if the Aussie racer misses the deadline? Well, that depends on your imagination solely.

Oscar Piastri might be in just his second F1 season, but he has already given birth to a lot of memes around him. Ahead of this year’s Chinese GP, Oscar had claimed he shares some Chinese lineage and thus, the race would be a home Grand Prix for him. Next came the Monaco GP, and he jokingly said, “Searching my family tree to find any trace of Monegasque roots.” At this, F1’s ‘Monaco Prince’ Charles Leclerc offered to adopt Piastri if need be. Thus, fans have seen Piastri claim to be an Australian, then a Chinese, and finally, a Monegasque. So, they said, “Nationalities and sports…what else is he going to claim?

Finally, someone questioned Oscar Piastri’s involvement in tonnes of different sports fields apart from F1 racing. The Aussie posted a picture of him playing padel and then one of his lookalikes turned out to be a gymnast. Now, another Oscar doppelganger is competing at the Olympics event of breaking! So, a commenter wrote, “Oscar, mate, you’ve gotta leave some sports for other people!

All jokes aside, Oscar needs to focus on only one sport right now, and that’s racing in F1. In just his second season with McLaren, he has already bagged a race win. Do you think, by the end of this year, he can have many more Grand Prix victories?
