Leclerc clinched the pole in both the normal qualifying and the sprint qualifying. However, he lost a position to Sergio Perez as he breezed past and would’ve been overtaken by Max Verstappen had it not been for George Russell damaging his car. Nevertheless, the Monegasque is excited about the main race and expects to score big points for the team on Sunday.

According to GpBlog.com, Charles Leclerc said “It shows how bad the first three races were because if in a Sprint you double the points, that’s not a good sign normally. But, it’s like this. We deserve much more points than what I have now in the Championship. We haven’t been very lucky in the first three races, but hopefully, we can have a clean race tomorrow. In the end, that’s where we will score big points.
