The last two seasons have seen considerable promise from Lawrence Stroll‘s Aston Martin. But in order to reap the benefits, the Silverstone-based team still needs to plant some more seeds. When examining the squad’s growth, it appears that they may have had something that might act as a catalyst for the growth of the team as a whole.

The team is scheduled to unveil the AMR 23 car at their Silverstone base on February 13. Moreover, their 2023 challenger can be the car to look out for as it seems the green team has discovered a loophole in the F1’s new rules.

In addition to the team’s technological prowess, Fernando Alonso, a two-time champion’s experience, will help the outfit with the talented and incredibly motivated Lance Stroll.

Even while the design’s specifics haven’t been revealed, Aston Martin’s deputy technical director Eric Blandin may have pointed out a flaw the team has discovered in the rules. Talking to the Aston Martin website, Blandin said, “We’ve implemented a few clever innovations on the new car they’re the icing on the cake.”

“It’s great when you find a small loophole and can use it to your advantage, but it’s not often you can base an entire car around it. Instead, it’s essential to get the basics right, and then you can add things.”

After being impressed with the development of the car for season 2022 and the team’s ongoing progress, the 24-year-old, Lance Stroll, last year expressed his delight and stated his desire for the team to keep moving forward in the correct direction. The team’s first point came at Imola in 2022, but by the second part of the season, they were consistently in the top ten. Talking to F1.com, Stroll said, “Well, I think we really struggled at the beginning of the year.”

“I think we were far off the pace at the beginning of the year, but the guys have done a great job improving the car.”

Concluding his statement, the Canadian said, “I think the guys have done a great job at improving the car. We’ve definitely… made big steps in the right direction. And it’s just about… keeping on going in that direction, really, in the future.”
