Guenther Steiner is not the one to hold his words back, ever! The Haas Boss is often a sense of comic relief for the formula one fraternity. The Italian- American man never fails to say the funniest things in his exceptional accent, which makes it even better. While Steiner was not having the best time last year, the tables have finally turned for him. His drivers, Kevin Magnussen and Mick Schumacher, are absolutely pushing the car to its limits as the American team’s efforts are finally paying off.

Surely being the boss of Haas F1 is not easy. The team was facing endless problems before the season even began, and Steiner faced the challenge of finding a capable driver. Just 11 days before the start of Bahrain GP, K-Mag was finally asked to replace Nikita Mazepin. Testings saw Haas clocking in exceptional lap times for a car that was expected to be draggy.

Haas stood last on the Constructors’ last year, a wild contrast to how they’re performing now. Astonishingly, their comeback hero Kevin stood P5 in the very first race, and managed a P9 yesterday.

Guenther recently ‘candidly’ spoke about how even two points mean so much to him. He revealed, “You always want maximum, but then if you think about it, you cannot be too greedy. I mean, last year, uh, for two points I’d have f***** the whole paddock.”

If you’re laughing, then we’re not blaming you. After all, Steiner somehow is always himself and speaks his mind openly. The Team Principal has all the right to be happy now that his team is qualifying to Q3, again a wild contrast to last year.
However, Haas is performing both equally and sometimes even better than the likes of teams like Mercedes and McLaren. Steiner has also not always shared the most perfect relationship with his drivers, including K-Mag. But no wonder why he now feels so much more confident and better about both Schumacher Jr. and Magnussen.
