While streaming on Twitch, Norris was asked about the upcoming season of Drive to Survive. “The third’s coming out next March [2021]. The first two; I’m gonna admit, not as good as what season 3 is gonna be, because they don’t include me,” he jokingly said.

Although the first season created quite a hype, it never managed to exceed the boundary of F1 fans. However, the second season created a massive buzz around the world and eventually received an incredible response as well, not just from inside the F1 community, but outside as well.

Hence, looking at how the 2020 season proceeded, fans are eagerly waiting for season 3. This might be because there have been quite a lot of interesting events that took place over that F1 season.

Let’s consider a few for instance – the hectic COVID-19 misery, both Racing Point drivers testing positive for the virus, Sebastian Vettel and Ferrari parting ways, Sergio Perez’s exit from Racing Point, Daniel Ricciardo and his team boss’ tattoo story, Alex Albon’s poor Red Bull season, Haas’ decision to leave out both their experienced drivers.

And finally, the scary Romain Grosjean crash.

These incidents may well have fueled the hype in a big way, and it would be criminal not to expect a lot from the Drive to Survive’s season 3.

Norris also scored the first podium of his F1 career in Austria after catching up on Lewis Hamilton, who was driving with a burden of a five-second time penalty.

Season 3 is gonna be a lot better, especially because I’m hoping episode 1 is gonna be all about Austria and us scoring, or me scoring, and us as a team scoring our first podium of the whole year,” he said.
